What TRAINING SERVICES we do

Having the expertise and proficiency gained by our staff during long periods of engagement with the industry, in addition to the robust theoretical and experimental knowledge in the fields of vibration analysis and dynamic balancing, our section has the qualification of running advanced training programs in the above fields. All training programs are supported bjy professional instructors and enriched by comprehensive educational movies and experimental work to help in understanding the theoretical lectures.

Vibration Analysis - Basic Level

The purpose of this program is to assist maintenance engineers and technicians who are new to vibration measurement and analysis and would like to learn about condition monitoring and predictive machinery maintenance technology. Broadly speaking, the subject is the principles of vibration theory and analysis as they apply to the determination of machine operating characteristics and deficiencies and to the detection of faults.

Vibration Analysis

Advanced Level This course is intended for people who have completed Basic Level Vibration analysis course and have at least 6 months of field experience in machinery vibration analysis. The course will enrich the knowledge of vibration analysts and it is expected that they will learn how to test machines and diagnose the faults correctly and accurately, how to set vibration limits, understanding analysis techniques in-depth and how vibration patterns are changing. The course is supported by educational movies and comprehensive experimental measurements using Machinery Fault Simulator and portable vibration analyzers.

Dynamic Balancing Training

This training program is intended for engineers and technicians who have completed basic or advanced vibration analysis course or have at least 12 month of experience in the field of dynamic balancing and shaft alignment. We would hope that trainees will gain the following benefits from this program: • Understand the causes of unbalance and misalignment. • Understand the effect of unbalance and shaft misalignment on the performance and life of the machine. • Understand how vibration is generated due to unbalance and shaft misalignment. • How to perform dynamic balancing and what are the machines and tools used • How to perform shaft alignment and what tools are required. • How to apply standards and acceptable limits for balancing and shaft alignment • How to process vibration signal and extract unbalance signal. • What are the differences between soft-bearing and hard-bearing balancing machines. • What is field balancing and how to apply it successfully.

General Engineering Training

We are delighted to work with our customers to design and support such programmes to develop the technical competences of their employees. Talk to us today to see how SFC can create bespoke training packages to meet your unique needs.
